Travelling to Kendal from the North or South by car from the M6 take exit 36, onto the A590, signposted to South Lakes and Kendal. Do not take the left turn to Barrow but continue on the A591.You will pass a BP petrol station on the left, take the next exit signposted South Kendal, A6. Follow this road and you will find the Stonecross Manor Hotel on the left-hand side at the brow of the hill. If you go over the hill you have gone too far. The hotel car park is at the rear of the building but you may wish to unload your luggage at the front door. By Train: The nearest and most convenient train station is Oxenholme the Lake District.
