Stonecross Manor Hotel has an amazing team of professional chefs, who design menus using fresh local produce. Cumbria is well-known for the range and quality of its local produce. Within our county can be found a wealth of meat and dairy products, artisan bakers, organic fruit and vegetables, locally sourced seafood, bottled spring water and over 20 real ale breweries. Catherine’s Restaurant is named after Catherine Parr, the sixth of Henry VIII’s wives. She spent the early part of her life in Kendal Castle. The walk from Stonecross Manor Hotel to the Castle is approximately 20 mins and provides excellent views of the Lakeland Fells.
Catherine’s Restaurant is open for breakfast and throughout the day for All Day Dining, Afternoon Cream Teas and Afternoon Tea’s.
Westmorland Gazette Bar
The Westmorland Gazette is the local newspaper. The bar celebrates the area’s history, its walls covered in photographs of the region and its people donated by the Westmorland Gazette, including a photograph of the matron and girls who lived at Stonecross Manor during the 1800s.
A full range of beverages are available including a fine selection of wines, beers and real ale.
